Dreaming of a trip to Banff and the Canadian Rockies, but not sure where to start? That’s exactly what this podcast is here for. Let’s make it simple and make it happen.
Since this is our very first episode, I wanted to start by telling you a little bit about me and what you can expect from The Banff Travel podcast.
As I mentioned, I live here in Canmore year-round with my husband and our two kids. We absolutely love the mountain life and spend as much time as we can out exploring Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies in every season. In the summer, you’ll find us hiking, biking, and paddling on some of the most beautiful lakes you can imagine. And when winter hits, we’re out cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, and skating on frozen lakes.
But we’re not always here! We’re also a family who loves to travel the world. And after years of planning detailed, adventure-packed trips for our family, and now for travelers like you, I’ve figured out what it takes to create a trip that runs smoothly and leaves you with those unforgettable moments you’ll talk about for years.
When I first started helping friends and family plan their Banff vacations, I realized just how overwhelming it can be. There are so many logistics, shuttles to figure out, deciding where to stay, picking the best time to visit, and making sure you don’t miss the best hikes or views.
That’s exactly why I created our sites Banff Travel Planning and Travel Banff Canada, and why I’m here with this podcast: to help make it easier for you to plan your trip to Banff, and to make sure it’s an incredible experience from start to finish.
Why I Started The Banff Travel Podcast
If you’ve been researching your trip to Banff, you’ve probably noticed there’s a lot of information out there… and it can be hard to tell what’s current or what’s actually useful. I live here. I’m exploring these trails, lakes, and mountains year-round, and I’m always keeping up with what’s happening around the park.
The Banff Travel Podcast is here to give you reliable, insider info in quick, easy-to-listen-to episodes so you can feel confident and excited as you plan your trip. Whether it’s your first visit to Banff or you’re coming back for more adventures, I’m here to help!
What to Expect From Future Episodes
Each week, I’ll be sharing tips on things like:
- When to visit Banff (and what to expect in each season)
- How to visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise
- Where to stay in Banff, Lake Louise, or Canmore
- The best hikes for families and first-timers
- Wildlife safety and etiquette
- How to avoid crowds and get off the beaten path
- And plenty more!
At the start of each month, I’ll also release a ‘What to Expect This Month’ episode, where I’ll cover what’s open, weather conditions, and events happening in and around Banff.
And, of course, I’ll be answering a listener question at the end of every episode, so if you’ve got a question you’d like me to answer, be sure to send it in!
